I've lived in Taiwan for about 7 years. Although my Chinese ability is good, I'd like to work on my fluency. Class will consist of practicing conversation and reading the occasional newspaper article. I NEED someone who will correct my tones, and who will not nod their head in understanding when I say something that is slightly grammatically incorrect, but I want someone to tell me how a Taiwanese person would say this correctly. I want to speak like a Taiwanese person. Also, if you can have the ability to teach a bit of Taiwanese, that is a bonus, as I'm looking to pick up a bit of Taiwanese. I plan to be in Taipei for one week, approximately January 22-30, 2013, and would like to meet with a tutor most mornings for 3-4 hours during that period. Hello! My name is Justen and I am a 28 year old American. I work at a school right near City Hall MRT, and am looking to pay a tutor to come here and can teach me using a classroom that we have here. It would just be me, and we could use any resources here. I am using Chinese Practical Audio Visual, and I am on lesson 3 of book 2. I can buy you a copy of the book. I am most concerned about just being able to use the words of each chapter, I am usually pretty good at learning to read them quickly. In terms of writing, I am not concerned about handwriting and practice writing through typing on the computer (using pinyin). I am looking maybe for a college student or someone who will be cheap.
