Hello, I am looking for someone who can help me with conversational Chinese. I lived in Taiwan a few years ago and studied Chinese for a while, but I have forgotten a lot. I need to learn how to get around in Taiwan again. I would like to focus on conversation at first and then go back to learning characters and reading. I need to meet in Neihu, preferably around Huzhou MRT. We can meet at my home or a near by coffee shop.

Hello, I am seeking someone to help me study Chinese on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-4pm. The pay is a flat $1000nt per day. You will not be expected to correct any lengthy homework assignments or give me any written tests, nor will you need to prepare any lessons. I have materials I wish to study and for three hours I would like you to assist me in speaking Chinese and learning to write it. While I am writing Chinese if you have homework or something else you wish to study or do, that's fine once I'm able to write more independantly. Hello! My name is Matthew. I live in Hsinchu City with my wife Amy. After 6 months of getting by using English, I think I'm ready to learn Chinese. I am very much a beginner at the language. I would love to meet up with someone during the evening 2 or 3 times a week to practice some basic conversation Mandarin. I will be starting a beginner level class at NTHU in 3 weeks, but I don't have time to do the conversation class that goes with it. If someone, preferably male (at my wife's request : D ) would be willing to help me practice speaking Mandarin, I would really appreciate it. I could also help you practice your English too. Hiya, I've just moved to Taiwan, I'll be living here for at least a year and maybe longer if things go well! I don't have any Chinese Language ability and would like to change that ASAP. I'm teaching English in Tansui here part time, and I"m hoping I can study in my off time. At the moment I'm finding the job pretty full on, so I don't have a lot of down time yet. Howver I would like to squeeze in one lesson a week if I can, ideally around 2 hours long. The best day for me is Tuesday (unless my work schedule changes)as I finish at four and have the evening free. Initially I want to focus on the basic speaking and listening skills required to exist here - greetings, how much, numbers etc, but ideally I would make a start on some characters as well. Eventually I am hoping to have more time to focus on study of Mandarin but for the moment I am just looking for a structured, yet low key weekly session to start laying the foundations. I am here in Taiwan for one year as a Henry Luce Scholar and am teaching in the dance department of Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA). My fellowship encourages us to learn Chinese and I am very excited to begin. I have a budget from my fellowship specifically dedicated to language study and I want to find a serious, committed, experienced, but of course, fun and inventive teacher who is willing to work one on one (small groups are great too if you have a few beginners). I want to be pushed and I really want to learn Chinese.
