I am very keen to teach in Taiwan in 2005. I have heard a lot about of postive things about teaching in Taiwan from friends and have met some Taiwanese people here in NZ. I am hard working and enjoy working with people from a wide range of ages. I have a Masters degree in Social Work and have 3-4 years experience of working with people who first language is not English. I prefer to live in Tainan as I have heard that it is a very beautiful city steeped in history.

I've taught English full-time in Taichung for over two years on a kindergarten level, also have lots of experience with afternoon ESL classes and Cram schools.

Hello Everyone! I'm happy to say that on the 9th of November I'll be leaving the U.S. with one major goal in mind: to teach English in Taiwan. I'm 23 years old with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, speak proficient Mandarin/Spanish, and most importantly, enjoy giving the gift of knowledge to youngsters. Three years ago I graduated from McGill University with a Bachelors in Psychology. My studies focused mainly on Child Development and Social Psychology, subjects which are applicable to teaching young children. For the past tweleve years I have worked with groups of students aged 2 to 12 years old in different childcare environments such as elementary schools, day camps, after-school programs and pre-school classrooms. I learned age appropriate programming, organizational skills, a variety of games, and had the chance to develop creative learning activities. Working in various settings also enabled me to meet other childcare workers, acquire a variety of skills from them and learn the importance of flexibility as well as teamwork.
