I have experiences of teaching daily-spoken Chinese to my foreign friends and have been being buddies of exchange students working in NTU's OIA(office of international affairs )now.

I start tutoring or helping friends for Chinese when I was a student in uni, it started because I like teaching and I always have passion on languages or cultures. From my own learning experiences on English, my teaching become really flexible and friendly for my students. I don't teach my students just follow the textbooks or learn the useless words for exam only. Languages are alive, are flexible and should be fun to learn. I'm heva been teaching chinese(mandarin) for almost four years. ESP, I have a vietnam class twice a week on Sunday afternoon in Furen University for at least two years, and for right now, I have a Korean class on everyday morning at Taoyuan. (because korean class's situation is unusual,so in the entire process, i use english all the class to teach, not chinese) Last summer, I used to be a mandarin teacher when study tour came from the USA for two months in MING CHUAN University. I taught a few student in Mandarin while I was in the University of Queensland. However, I didn't get a dgree in teaching Mandarin as second language, so I can only teach students who are above beginner level, means you can use PIN-YIN and carry on a simply conversation in Mandarin. On the other hand, I teach Adult English over 10 years,but I want to get to the native speaker level in English. On a scale of 1-10, My English is about 8.5.
