The best way to learn language is to keep on practice in location. Especially for such a complicated language with its own Shape (picture), Meaning and Sound with the unique tone. In my class I will help you to activate your right brain as well as your left brain to improve this language.
With my language/culture background and advantages of my experiences and expertise in broadcasting/multi-media, my students do enjoy learning and have fun in my class with my teaching methodology (such as learning from video, virtual reality, story- telling or even field day). I can also tailor down the class content and methodology according to your preferences and focus you want to strengthen such as reading, writing, speaking or even word structure.
Choose me, I won't let you down. :)
Hiii, I'm Joanie, I'm a Mandarin tutor teaching one-on-one Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien lessons to students from around the world. I'm keen to help with student's curiosity, I will pick up some interesting topics for us to talk about, through the conversational practice, I'm sure that you will be more confident about yuorself ^^
Unlike the popular belief, I don't think that native speakers necessarily are the best language teachers. During my 10 years of learning Chinese, the best Chinese teacher I came across was my first teacher at Humbdolt University, who is actually German. This holds true especially for beginners all the way up to upper intermediate. For advanced language skills, I still advocate looking for a native teacher.
I can provide you with precise instruction on Chinese pronunciation including how to master correct tones. I can teach you the structure of Chinese characters, stroke order, radicals etc. I have a thorough understanding of the Chinese grammar and can explain it in detail. I can council you on learning material and share my experience of my 10-year-journey to mastering Chinese that included different learning tools and lots of discussion with other learners.
I can tailor a lesson schedule and learning method that fits your needs (e.g.: do you want to learn how to handwrite characters yes or no etc.)
If you are interested, I would be glad to hear from you. :)

Hi, I'm a optimistic, easy going friend. I love travel, outdoor activities. My major is Spanish and I have international trade background so I can teach you not only Chinese for daily use but also Business Chinese.
I’m recently taking TCSOL course, and I’m eager to teach Mandarin to put what I’ve learned into practice. So if you just begin to learn Chinese, I’m sure we will be a perfect match. I majored both in Advertising and English back in my college years; therefore, I believe I can give you a fun and enjoyable learning experience. What’s more, I’m working in a Peking Opera theatre company, where one can groove the beauty of traditional Chinese art. And don’t worry about the experience thing, I’ve been English Tutor for over 3 years, so I’m pretty confident in teaching non-native speakers a second language. What are you waiting for? I hope I can be the one who not only help you learn Mandarin, but also guid you to appreciate the beauty of Chinese/Taiwanese culture!
