Our school: Taipei Youhua High School is a private high school with junior and
senior high school divisions. We are conveniently located right across Beitou
MRT station. We pride ourselves with providing top-quality second language
education to enrich the lives of our highly energetic students. Our foreign
language division aims to develop true bilingual communicative abilities while
building a strong sense of appreciation and respect for cultural diversity. Thus, we
are looking for experienced native or near-native teachers of English who are
preferably multilingual (our students also learn German, French, Spanish, or
Japanese) or at least possess a strong cross-cultural orientation.
Applicants should also be able to work well in a team, adapt quickly to our school
culture, and have a penchant for pedagogical innovation. Soft skills such as
communication, flexibility, discipline, empathy (i.e. to the needs of adolescent
learners) are highly valued, and we welcome teachers who want to be part of
where the action is.

Applicant requirements:
1) physically in Taiwan
2) with APRC, ARC, or Taiwan ID
3) with valid and relevant teaching certification
4) working proficiency in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and
apps (Drive, Classroom, Meet, etc.) and basic familiarity with common classroom
hardware (e.g. multi-media equipment, interactive blackboard, etc.)
5) interacts very well with highly energetic teenagers
6) experience teaching extra-curricular English clubs an advantage
7) experience in coaching for English competitions an advantage

Compensation and benefits:
starting at 800 NTD (could be higher depending qualifications) per 45-minute
session for junior high school and/or 50-minute session for senior high school

Part-time wage:
- starting at 800 NTD per 45-50 minute session (commensurate with
relevant requirements)
- rate doesn’t include labor and medical insurance deductions

Full-time salary:
- starting at 73,000 NTD per month, extra hours starting at 800 NTD per
45-50 minute session (both rates commensurate with relevant
requirements);
- one month re-signing bonus
- yearly advancement opportunities
- paid summer and winter breaks
- 20 basic teaching hours per week
