Hello,

I'm a professional Chinese teacher who has been teaching the language for over 7 years. I received my M.A. in Chinese language pedagogy at Indiana University Bloomington with full scholarship and taught at the college level for 4 years in the states. I’ve also led a group of high school students from Indiana to Hangzhou, China and taught them at a local high school there in an intensive summer program. Prior to that, I had taught Mandarin to toddlers and young children in Turkey and Australia. Last year, I came back to Taiwan and have been tutoring online for 9 months. I can teach both simplified and traditional Chinese and from beginners to advanced learners.

As a certified tester by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreigner Languages, I can assess your oral proficiency in Chinese in a clear and structured way. So don’t worry if you’re not sure about your current proficiency level. We’ll get a better idea of it and work together towards your goals!

In my spare time, I like to cook, bake, swim, watch movies and TV shows on Netflix! 😊 I was inspired to become a teacher to speakers of other languages when I went to Turkey the 2nd time as an exchange student (I was there 4 times in total). Learning languages and cultures is always one of my favorites! With my experiences living in these different countries, I’d love to share my stories and am eager to learn from you, too!
