Chinese Classes

Program:

Most students enroll in a classes meeting 3 hours per day, 4 days per week. “The fewer students there are, the more chances of practice students will receive.” which has always been our principle. Classes are made small, with three to eight students. Two kinds of courses are proposed. The Integrated Courses aim to develop students’ general language skills. The improvement courses focus on improving the proficiency in daily conversation and reading.

Upon arriving at the CLC, placement evaluations are given to each student in order to determine his or her appropriate class level. We teach traditional characters and zhu-yin (bo po mo fo) pronunciation system. A minimum of three students is required to open a class. All courses at the CLC are offered on a non-credit basis. Thus, the CLC does not confer diplomas.

Classes are scheduled between 9 to 12 A .M. and 2 to 5 P.M. It is important for students to realize that they are committing themselves to a full-time language study program.
