The ideal candidates are available in the new year. State licensed high school teachers who understand the workload and academic rigor demanded by the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to teach motivated students who are working towards an IB Diploma. The successful candidates will join a team of highly professional, talented, dedicated, and diverse IB teachers. Applicants without IB experience who are open to learning the paradigm are welcome, and will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of the core principles and practices of the IB, as well as the passion and drive required to meet that challenge. https://www.mdid.info/careers

Openings:Two full time / temporary (one semester) positions from Feb. 2023 - July 2023. The contract may be renewed for the 2023-2024 school year based on teacher performance over the previous semester.

1. Full-time MYP & DP Physics Teacher

2. Full-time MYP English Language Acquisition and Writing Teacher

Teachers are expected to:
．Design appropriate learning experiences that match with student needs.
．Design formative and summative assessments.
．Provide meaningful feedback on formative and summative assessments.
．Develop international-mindedness in the students while maintaining the respect and ties to local culture.
．Improve language proficiency through subject-specific communication.
．Work independently and collaboratively to design and refine curriculum.
．Monitor ongoing progress and assess Language B students.
．Work with homeroom teachers, meet with parents to maintain links between home and school.
．Have an active role in the wider curriculum, participating in interdisciplinary and extracurricular activities.
．Stay current with MYP Curriculum through consistent updates via MyIB.
．Maintain records of curricular documentation as well as student work and progress through Managebac.
