Hello, I am a professional teacher (Education degree and teacher's certificate from Florida Dept of Education).
I will be in Taiwan on June 5th. I was the ESL teacher for Tseng Yani, and also for the Cleveland Indians baseball team, Walt Disney World and schools around the world.
I believe that teaching children is best practised using communication, roleplays, plays, songs, dialogues and reading. This is a natural approach and produces excellent results. Children become very able, but also very independent learners. This is my speciality.
If Part-time, when: Part-time Afternoons and Evenings
I am a highly qualified professional teacher looking for employment with a school that will offer me around 20-25 hours a week on average. I study at NTNU until 1:30 everyday but I am free to teach full time after that. I have extensive experience with children of all ages as well as adult learners of all levels. I am experienced in making my own material and accommodating specific students needs. I pay attention to their struggles and triumphs to teach in a way to help them achieve their language learning goals.
I am an experienced English teacher with a masters in TESOL. I am looking for a position teaching children or adults in which I can help learners to gain confidence and have fun learning English. My goal as an educator is to create an environment in which students feel secure enough to take risks with their language production. I also feel it is important that students get a lot of language input.
I am available to teach as soon as my current contract expires on June 27th. I can provide letters of recommendation at your request as well as a statement of my teaching philosophy. I look forward to hearing from you.
If Part-time, when: Combination: Some Mornings, Afternoons & Evenings
I'm Natcha from Thailand. I study a first year in a medical school in Taichung. I speak Chinese fluently. I studied IB program in the UK. I have teaching expereinces for years since before I went to the UK. If you are intested in learning Thai or English, please feel free to contact me.
To All Taiwan Schools,
I am a thirty-three year old Englishman who has just finished lectures in English Literature at the University of the West of England (UWE), and who is anticipated to graduate with a very high 2.1 (around 68%). After I fully graduate on July 13th, I will also complete a month-long CELTA course. I believe that with a high-standard BA in English and an additional CELTA I will be fully qualified to teach English as a foreign language in Taiwan, a capability which is also enhanced by more than four years experience teaching in China and as a voluntary teacher in Britain.
As for my reasons for wanting to teach, in a word, my passion is the English language and teaching is one of the best ways in order for me to indulge this; moreover, in the past I have found great joy in seeing people improve on their adopted tongue, a process I can identify with as I have made gradual improvements in my own efforts to learn Mandarin. Therefore, not only passion drives me to teach but a genuine interest in the people I help, an interest which wants to see them thrive. It is almost needless to say that amidst these reasons for wanting to teach is an ethic of professionalism which I believe makes me a conscientious employee who emphasises punctuality, tolerance, and patience.
I am specifically drawn to Taiwan: since I spent a little over two years in China, I have been imbibed with a great respect for east Asian culture - the language, cuisine, history, and people, who in my experience are very friendly and intelligent. Therefore, I want to further this experience of and interplay with Asia but in a different environment to China - in Taiwan - which I hear is very different and politically liberal. I also hear that Taiwan will be a better place for an individual to seek a career in teaching, because, though there may be less ESL jobs, the schools that are established have higher standards.
This is a brief introduction of myself, but please refer to my resume for more detailed information. Furthermore, if any one is at all interested in hiring me, when I receive my degree in July I will send a copy of it promptly, as well as the CELTA certification, and will also have them both verified at the nearest Taiwanese embassy in London.
You can contact me by email or alternatively you may add me on skype (robert.quinn216). I hope to be hearing from you soon.
