I am 22 years old and will be recieving my BA degree in Linguistics within a months time. I have recieved advanced certificate in advanced TESOL training. I have lived in San Francisco my whole life but am planning a move to Taiwan within the next month or two. My main area of study in school was English and Creative Writing. I am fluent in English and Mandarin and am currently learning Hagka and Cantonese(as well as Spanish, Russian, and Arabic). I currently am involved in a volunteer work in the Chinese community here in San Francisco, CA (USA). I am willing and able to teach any age group or cultural background. I am mainly looking for a position in Miaoli province, but am open to other offers as well. I enjoy using this book because the concepts are easy to understand and the students get to learn how words fit together to form sentences. I also taught french to a high school student 2 days a week. His marks improved and so did his attitude. I showed a student in my college and a japanese exchange student the proper structure on an essay outline. I explained how to form a thesis and then gave examples. I showed them the three main ideas, and i asked them lots of questions about their topic. They came up with a third main idea based on the answers they gave me. I like teaching this way because it challenges them to come up with their own ideas. Everybody is smart, they need a little encouragement. I am fortunate to work with such smart people.
