Greetings, as a fully licensed ESL teacher with over 10 years of classroom instruction experience and 5 years of school leadership experience, I am keenly aware of students’ academic growth and development, learning differences, and evidence-based instructional strategies when designing, planning, implementing, and evaluating students’ learning needs. My understanding of the student's prior knowledge, cultural background, readiness to learn, learning style, and teacher self-reflection are key to ensuring my students excel in all classes. I always put the student at the center of all my instruction, assessments, and remediation. I maintain a supportive, challenging learning environment for the individual needs of each student, whether special needs, advanced, or gifted - providing empathetic teaching skills, individual and group work, interactive feedback, and positive reinforcement that stimulates students’ holistic development. Further, for the past 10 years, I have taught American university entrance examinations including but not limited to TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, and business English language. My students achieved honors including outstanding TOEFL, SAT, and IELTS scores, and were admitted to prestigious international universities in China, the United Kingdom, America, Canada, Australia, and Singapore.

I have over 10 years of experience educating both children and adults, formally and informally, and thoroughly enjoy teaching young learners. In Taiwan, I have 3200+ hours of in-class teaching experience as well as 800+ hours perfecting lesson plans and completing necessary paperwork. I offer tutoring to children ages 2-15 years old.
I specialize in constructing curriculum that's interactive, exciting, useful and effective. Baby/Toddler Thematic English Play Classes, Academic English, Specialized Thematic English, Conversational English, Creative Writing, Small Group Book Studies, Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced Verb Tense Comprehension and Cambridge Testing Practice are just a few of the tailored programs I offer to my students
I have been trained in Montessori methodology through my work volunteering and teaching in kindergartens in Canada for 3 years. I have studied Reggio Emilia and Waldorf methodology while in a university Child Behavior and Psychology course.
Let's learn throughout thematic lessons that your children will enjoy! I believe that children blossom in environments that promote learning through play and conversation. I focus on English-only, thematic lessons surrounding nature, outer space, transportation, food and animals. I foster confidence, playfulness and joy through educational activities. I will also incorporate singing, dancing, fine and gross motor skills and movement in our lessons. This is an environment where little learners are encouraged to ask questions and be fully involved. Themed lessons include: oceans, farm animals, plants, outer space, zoo animals, countries around the world and more!
Learning English is meant to spark curiosity, confidence and passion. While I teach using traditional methods, nothing will ever be dull or stagnant.
I look forward to hearing from you and guiding you, or your children, on their journey to fluency in the English language.
I have returned to Taiwan after three years teaching at Hangzhou No. 14 AP Center, where I specialized in AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP Art History. I also have a familiarity with AP Seminar and other AP courses. I am eager to find a full-time, long-term position in Taiwan, where my family is based. I have a Ph.D. in history and have over 10 years experience working with both high school and university students. My recent experience taught me the skills required of high school students seeking to study university abroad.

I have a broad range of experience in the EFL field, and I enjoy working with students of all ages.
I am hoping to find a position teaching adults or children in Taipei City.
Full-time or Part-time positions with set monthly pay and set working hours are preferred. But I'm open to negotiating with you.^^
I'm an American in Taipei, with a government issued teacher's license. I also have five years of teaching experience here.
My experience with with both children and adults, teaching English, coding, university and exam preparatory curriculum, and other subjects.
I also have a software engineering background.
Please contact me about relevant opportunities. Thank you.
I believe that lessons should be fun, dynamic, and interesting for students, while remaining focused on developing useful language skills. In my experience, students make the best progress when they are in well-organized classes in well-organized schools. This organization makes exciting, spontaneous, and productive lessons possible. I would be excited to teach at a school that believes the same.
I am interested in a position in an organization with the same commitment to continuous improvement that I feel as a teaching professional, one which values teamwork, communication, and the best interests of the students.
Also, I have been a peer mentor and trained new teachers in several past positions, and would be particularly happy in a position that included a teacher training component. I believe that with my MA studies in Applied Linguistics, my CELTA Pass A, and many years' teaching experience in different instructional settings, I have the theoretical, practical, and experiential knowledge to be useful in this capacity.

I specialize in building rapport with my students to help nurture a desire to learn English outside of the classroom, which includes a good deal of comfortable conversation and incorporating lesson material into real-life experiences in a dynamic way. As anyone at my current school would say, my students love me!
Demo videos are available upon request in lieu of an in-person demo, as well as professional and academic references.
While I live in Taiwan currently, I should mention that I still need support for a visa, and a relocation bonus would be an incredible advantage, but depending on other factors, is not 100% necessary.
I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read my advert!
I have degrees, teaching certificates etc blah, blah, blah.
My teaching philosophy is quite simple, people learn most effectively when they have a positive memory of the subject they are learning.
I like to bring this into the classroom when teaching. By making the lessons fun and as interactive as possible I can imprint the target language onto the student’s mind so that they learn without even realising they are. I like to engage with and elicit from the students wherever possible to maximise student talking time and help them to build their confidence and improve their pronunciation. I also like to use peer to peer and group learning when appropriate as I like to promote cooperation among students. Mutual respect for each other’s abilities, strengths and weaknesses which helps to create a more harmonious and effective teaching environment as well as a better society.
I switched to teaching after a successful private enterprise career to help the next generation build on our legacy, I can make more money in a tech or mech company, but I will never feel the same satisfaction I will from helping a student overcome their own fears and perceived restrictions, to watch their confidence grow and see them achieve what they believed they couldn’t.
I have an established record of improving students and having them accepted into the top prep schools in the UK like Ludgrove, Caldicott, Windlesham, Summerfields, Dragon and many others. Being Oxford trained has certainly helped with this.
My wife is from Hong Kong, a well known chef (Head chef at MasterChef Asia™) and is also a trained and experienced teacher. My wife has family in Taiwan which was a large part of the consideration when making the choice to make Taiwan the next step on our journey as we would like our little girl to become more familiar with other parts of her roots.
If you have any work or leads that you feel may be an option for us please feel free to message me.
