I've been here in Taichung since June. I have tried to teach myself Mandarin but have failed. I took a year of Mandarin in college so I have some background. I am mostly looking to improve my listening and speaking; reading and writing are secondary.
One consideration: I do not own a scooter so lessons need to take place near my apartment in the West District.
Additionally, I am willing to pay. I don't know if that is normal or not.
