Hello everyone, my name is Nina. I am 28 years old and have lived my entire life in Taiwan, other than for the last five years which I have spent in London. While in London, I have completed a Masters Degree at the University of Westminster and had worked for couple of years.
I am native Mandarin speaker, and I love to teach. While in London I have already tutoring for several students adult/children. My teaching is suitable for any level of Mandarin, and for people of any age.
-Teaching Method
My aim is to listen to the wishes of the student and try to customize a teaching package that suits you as best as possible. I acknowledge that everyone may have varying degrees of familiarity and knowledge of Mandarin, and the aim is to find a starting point and a plan that takes student to a level within an agreed time-frame that all parties are happy with. The goal is to discuss what you want to learn, materials, etc.
I also focus on teaching by having fun, learning from topic you are interested and encourage you to really enjoy the process. All my teachings are dedicated one-on-one interactions and with full attention to one student at the time.
-What I Teach
Exactly what I will teach will be determined when we meet. What I can offer is Traditional Mandarin with a full set of traditional characters. I can also teach Zhuyin and Pinyin and also tell the evolution story of the Traditional Mandarin characters in case this would help memorise the characters. I can also teach Taiwanese, calligraphy or Jiaguwen (oracle-bone scripture) if you are interested.
