My name is Christina. I am a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan and used to live in the States for 9 years for my undergrad and grad studies. I came back to Taiwan the beginning of last year. While I was there, I had experience tutoring/coaching adults advanced Chinese, including but not limited to reading, speaking, grammar, etymology, patterns, literature, and some cultural aspects. I enjoyed it very much, so I want to work with people who want to practice or need help with learning Mandarin.

Right now I am working with a beginner student using Book I of the Practical Audio-Visual Chinese book. We have been working on pronunciation drill using Zhu-yin (ㄅㄆㄇ) system and some basic conversation. The textbook is more of a guideline because I make my own worksheets custom for her needs.

I am a freelance translator at Linguitronics and just finished the term with Sotheby's in the summer as a Chinese iPad catalogue proofreader. I also finished an Arts & Crafts book translation recently (Zen Mandalas).

On the side, I do research and write articles in Chinese for a bimonthly design magazine, Computer Arts, International Version, for the column of industry issue.

I have a master's degree in Psychology from NYU and used to be a Journalism (in Chinese) major at Fu Jen University. Please let me know if there is any other question!
