I'm originally from Singapore (though my accent is more American than Singaporean), so I'm very familiar with the process of applying to American universities as an international student. I had to do everything myself for my own college application process--which made things really hard, but it also made me an expert by the end of the process! I credit my eventual acceptance to one of the best schools in the country to my methodical process that sculpted out a clear, unique and resonating portrait; a distinctive and genuine essay; and of course, a good sprinkling of luck!
My SAT scores were Math: 760, Reading: 750, Writing: 750 (98th percentile). My SAT II scores were Math IIC: 800, Physics: 800. At my university, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa--which meant that I was at the 10% of all graduates.
Outside of school, I have also read applications for one of the most selective universities in the world, so I know what top universities look for in their applications.
I currently working on a few entrepreneurial projects in Taipei. I do have a bit of spare time though, so I thought I'll try some tutoring! As seen above, I'm very experienced in US Universities admissions, including writing college application essays and SAT test prep. I can also teach English--spoken, read and written. I can speak Chinese in addition to English (though my English is much better), so I'll be able to explain difficult terms and sentences.
