Yale Language Academy has been supporting students in Miaoli City for over 30 years. Yale has a long history in the community of Miaoli and continues to be a stable support for its students, their parents, and our teachers.
Yale is seeking a full-time native English teacher starting from July or August 2025.
Fully transparent, no surprises:
1. All teaching material and syllabus is prepared for the teacher. Teacher simply follows our syllabus with the flexibility of adding their own creative approach to teaching.
2. Hours are from 1:15PM to 9:15PM, Monday to Friday, no weekends.
3. A typical day looks like this:
o First class starts at 1:30PM to 3:30PM (Elementary School Age Students)
o Break from 3:30PM to 4:10PM
o Second class starts at 4:10PM to 5:30PM (Elementary School Age Students)
o Break from 5:30PM to 5:40PM
o Third class starts at 5:40PM to 7:00PM (Elementary School Age Students)
o Break from 7:00PM to 7:10PM
o Fourth class starts at 7:10PM to 8:10PM (Depending on the class, some classes are Elementary School Age Students, others are Junior and Senior High, and possibly adult classes)
o Fifth and last class starts at 8:15PM to 9:15PM (Depending on the class, some classes are Elementary School Age Students, others are Junior and Senior High, and possibly adult classes)
4. A little about Miaoli City. Again, Yale Language Academy is about transparency. Miaoli City is quite boring if night life is your go to enjoyment. If you’re looking for outdoor activities, Miaoli offers it all. If you are looking to save money, Miaoli is the right place. You’ll find lower rent, lower cost of food, and the only place to really spend money is Carrefour. So, if saving money is your goal, you may find Miaoli City to be your best option.
5. Salary: Base Salary is NT68000, with a resigning bonus of NT20000 at the end of your contract.
6. We follow all government regulations. This means you will be included in the National health Insurance Program, ARC, A Pension Program, and paid National Holidays in addition to 7 days paid vacation after your first year of employment, followed by 10 days paid vacation after 2 years, 14 days paid vacation after 3 years of employment.
Qualifications:
 Bachelor Degree
 Teacher is from a country for which English is your native language
 Minimum 2 Years of teaching English in a cram school, or elementary, junior or senior high school
 Willing to relocate to Miaoli City
 Good class management skills
 Currently living in Taiwan
Job Description:
 Full time position, Monday – Friday, Weekends off
 From 1:15PM to 9:15PM

 Have a positive outlook towards teaching
 Support us in planning and executing winter and summer camp programs, in addition to yearly events such as the Moon Festival, Mother’s / Father’s Day, etc.
