Hi, my name is Chris. I have just started my 4th year teaching at Double Spring English. I have been teaching in Taiwan for 6 years. Double Spring is a great school. You will get great support from your co-workers and from your employer, Peggy. Peggy has lived abroad and has a great global perspective when dealing with foreign teachers. As a teacher at Double Spring you will have a great deal of autonomy to plan your classes. The curriculum is well laid out and also flexible. The school is located in the newer part of Taibao city. It is literally 5-7 minutes away from the Chiayi HSR station ! The immigration office in Taibao is not busy and you will get personal attention. The streets in Taibao are wide and safe. The average income level in town is high due the the university and the hospital, and due to the fact that Taibao is the location of the Chiayi county buildings.

The Ali Shan mountains are less than an hour scooter ride. A 2 hour scooter ride puts you in some of the best mountain drives Taiwan has to offer. The surrounding areas are great for long, or short country drives through some great small towns and Taiwanese villages.
