The program offers practical Chinese conversation for various levels of foreign students ranging from beginning Chinese to advanced Chinese and emphasizes the skills of listening and speaking. In addition, the program offers courses on special topics such as: Business Chinese, Newspaper readings, Thought and Society, A first course in Literary Chinese as well as Taiwan TV News Programs. We can also customize our program to meet your needs and schedule.

Instructors The Chinese teachers come from Department of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.

Curriculum (1) Beginning Chinese : by the end of this session, students will have learned about 500-700 words for daily conversations to handle basic daily situations.
(2) Low intermediate Chinese : students will learn 500-700 words more by the end of the session and are able to handle daily situations with longer phrases.
(3) Intermediate Chinese : students will learn 700-1000 words more by the end of the session and are able to handle daily situations with discrete sentence length.
(4) Advanced Chinese : students will learn 1000 words more by the end of the session and are able to read more than 50% of the words from the newspaper.

Instruction The class will be conducted in Mandarin by using Communicative Approach. That is, the teacher integrates the studies with students' life in meaningful contexts.
