The English Academy is expanding! We are opening an additional school on Nanjing Road in Taipei city.

We are looking for several full-time teachers to begin teaching in October.

Please note, you will need to be available for several days to a week before the first day of any class, since there is an induction period when you will also be given additional Teacher Training as needed.

We are a fairly small independent school with 7 ~ 8 teachers. We pride ourselves on our close relationship with our students, our effective teaching methods, our focus on results, and our friendly atmosphere. We work together with our teachers to provide an enjoyable environment in which to work and teach.

We deliver general English (4-skill classes), as well as additional writing, speaking, 1on1, teen, and some exam preparation classes. Our classes are small, with 6 to 14 students. Our teachers either teach 5 evenings or a week, or 4 evenings and Saturdays in addition to day classes. Teachers usually have two days off per week, and the school is closed for 2 weeks over Chinese New Year.
Full-time teachers start on around 14 hours in the first week and this quickly grows until they are working 21 ~ 25 hours per week, depending on their needs.

All teachers participate in our Continuous Professional Development system to meet teaching standards and to encourage constant improvement.

Compensation: 600-700+ per hour depending on experience, qualifications, and observable teaching ability.

Qualifications: University degree. + English teaching certificate (ideally CELTA or equivalent) + relevant teaching experience.
