Hello all! This is Teacher Joel. I have been teaching in Taiwan for seven years and have stayed with Julia Language Institute for the past four. The schedule, classroom autonomy and freedom to be creative and unique have kept me a part of this team. The hours are blocked together, so there aren’t any large gaps or breaks that eat up unpaid time. You are given complete autonomy in the classroom, yet get the full support of co-teachers and management when needed. The curriculum is designed and scheduled by the school, but you are encouraged to plan lessons using your own style and ideas. The management is flexible and receptive to your needs and overall approach to teaching. Moreover, the school is full of funny, intelligent students that make coming to work a joy and a privilege.
