Job Title: Technical Writer
Job Description:
1. Write clear, simple instructional content that speaks to customers who need to understand our products.
2. Give constructive feedback to peers and review your own work.
3. Collaborate openly and effectively with co-workers.
4. Collaborate with content marketers to analyze content and suggest ways to enhance it.
5. Manage content projects and communicate proactively.
A qualified candidate would have:
1. Exceptional writing, editing, collaboration, technology and communication skills.
2. Good understanding of creating content using formatting and visuals.
3. Ability to juggle multiple projects on timelines.
4. Desire to collaborate with product managers, visual designers, and subject matter experts.
5. Ability to express ideas clearly and diplomatically.
6. Passion for providing a great user experience.
7. Understanding of IT terminology and concepts, and how readers find and use content through instructional materials.
8. Willingness to pick up the job and learn with eagerness.
9. Understanding of MS Office Suite and basic image editing skills.
10. Working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat Professional is a big plus!
