English Teachers Needed – Kang Ning English School Taiwan

I. Requirement
BA/BS degree with ESL/EFL teaching certificates (TESOL/TEFL/TESL/CELTA). Minimum 15 months contract, 27 months preferred. English native-speaking educators with teaching passion and professionalism.

II. Benefits
Formal monthly pay NT$58,000-66,000 depending on professional & academic qualifications, with end of contract bonus, partial airfare compensation, performance bonus, health insurance, free meal/snacks, paid national holidays & personal annual leaves, and overtime pay & bonus for additional activities.

III. School introduction
Kang Ning English School (KNES) is a private English school established in 1985. The school has two major English departments, the Language Department (LD) and the Kindergarten Department (KD). LD is mainly for students between age 6 and 14. They come to KNES after regular primary or secondary school for English instruction. Some LD classes meet twice a week and some 4-5 times a week. KD students are between 2-5 years old, and could come for two different programs, whole English or Bi-lingual. KD teachers have dual duties, 9am-4pm with KD and set hours of LD classes in the evening. The LD classes designated to KD teachers usually end before 6pm. Saturday hours are optional for both LD and KD teachers. Both KD and LD programs have well-established & structured curriculum.

We provide a positive, stable & supportive educational environment with English speaking staff. We currently have more than ten full-time English-native-speaking teachers from all over the world and are planning to increase the number as the school expands.

The school is located in Zhudong (or spelled as Chutung, Judong), Hsinchu County, with three branches within 15 minutes of scooter drive. Zhudong is a medium-sized town with a population of 100,000. There are 4 universities and 3 colleges nearby. It takes 30 minutes to get to the ocean and 5 minutes to the mountains by car. It is about 90-minute drive to Taipei, the capital and biggest city of Taiwan. Neighboring areas (within 30 minutes of drive) include: Jhubei city, Hsinchu city & the Science Park (Taiwan Silicon Valley).

IV. Openings and start date
LD Program (12:30pm – 9:30pm): 2 positions beginning in June – August, 2015
KD Program (9am – 6pm): 2 positions beginning in July, 2015
