I'm currently enrolled as a third-year student at the prestigious MD program at the National Taiwan University College of Medicine, after having received a BS in Biology from the California Institute of Technology (AKA Caltech).
As a Taiwanese-American, I was raised in California and was there for twenty years of my life. There, I was involved in an array of interests, from intensive academic research to several years of private tutoring.
Since moving to Taiwan, I've been able to continue my deep interests as a teacher, holding advanced English classes for both undergraduate and graduate students at National Taiwan University.
As a private tutor, I bring over six years of experience, working with mostly high schoolers and college students (from places such as UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, etc).
My teaching philosophy stresses building solid fundamental knowledge and critical thought process to accelerate students' ability to navigate through increasingly difficult course material. This belief comes from my experience working with both underachieving and highly advanced high school students in California for the past few years.
I bring this same approach to Taiwan and I combine it with the vast amounts of rigorous scientific training I've received over the years to bring your student the best possible learning experience. In addition, as a Taiwanese-American, I fully understand what it means to bridge the two worlds.
My specialty is with students who are attempting to enter a US school whether it be for college or other schooling, so American/International School students are highly welcome.

I will be able to apply my knowledge and experience to teach and motivate the student to perform to the his/her fullest potential.

- Individual subjects: Biology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Physics, as well as their respective subject tests (for students of American schools).
- Most other middle/high school subjects can be taught as well.
- For students of American schools, SAT-I Test Preparation (Verbal, Quantitative, and Writing); the program is custom-designed for each student's needs. The SAT test often seems daunting to many kids, but with my systematic approach, most children with even an above average score can boost their score 200-300 points or more.
- For college students and working professionals: course subject tutoring, and TOEFL, GRE, GMAT guidance for all sections of the tests
- Parents: I will work with you to create a specialized and intensive program to suit your child's schedule and interests, and will confer with you regularly to assess the student's progress. Your involvement is critical to a student's future success.
- Short-Term and Long-Term sessions can both be arranged
